
In a Facebook post today, Anwar said he expressed this in a meeting with Franky Oesman Widjaja, the chairman of Indonesian conglomerate Sinar Mas.
“(Direct investments and strategic collaborations) strengthen the bilateral relationship between our two nations,” he said.
Anwar praised Sinar Mas as a renowned Indonesian company, and noted its involvement in various businesses, including pulp and paper, financial services, agriculture and food and telecommunications.
“I also informed (Franky) that in the context of (Malaysia’s) Asean chairmanship in 2025, successful infrastructure development across nations requires strong confidence and collaboration between Asean companies,” he said.
