Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat confirmed that a man had been killed in a shooting in Taman Setia Indah, Johor Bahru, today.

A man was fatally shot outside a restaurant in Taman Setia Indah, Johor Bahru, today.

Kosmo reported that the man had just finished lunch at around noon when a motorcyclist approached him and fired several shots before fleeing the scene.

The victim collapsed and died at the scene.

Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat confirmed the incident and said the victim was 40 years old.

In a Bernama report, Raub said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He said police are working to identify those involved in the incident, including witnesses, as well as to determine the motive for the killing.

Raub also said police are reviewing all closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the scene to assist in the investigation.

He said more details about the incident, including the number of shots fired, would be disclosed once the post-mortem report had been completed.
