Amanah Youth vice-chief Ammar Atan said: “This is not the first time PAS has been embroiled in situations where it challenged the institution of royalty.”
He said the youth wing sought to have Fadhli investigated for sedition.
Earlier today, Fadhli clarified that the metaphor in a cryptic message he posted on Facebook had nothing to do with the monarchy and was not made in reference to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
He said an Istana Negara statement on Friday on pardons did not explicitly prohibit a PAS solidarity rally for former prime minister Najib Razak planned for tomorrow.
However, Ammar said irrespective of whether the insinuation was intentional or a careless mistake, it could not be accepted and he demanded a public apology from Fadhli.
Fadhli had posted in Malay on Facebook late on Friday night, saying: “Disangka jantan berkokok nyaring, rupanya ayam betina bertelur sebiji. Disergah biawak, digadai reban.”
Several government MPs and assemblymen questioned the metaphor Fadhli used, alleging that it could be interpreted as defiance of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
