PETALING JAYA:
Police are looking for three persons alleged to have distributed Christian leaflets publicly in front of a supermarket in Desa Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

Wangsa Maju police chief Lazim Ismail confirmed that a report was filed on Monday after the incident was captured in a video that went viral.

“The case is being investigated under Section 298A of the Penal Code for causing disharmony on religious grounds,” he said in a statement today.

In the viral video, a man recording the incident can be heard confronting two Caucasian men dressed in white shirts and ties, telling them: “You cannot do this. This is wrong. Totally wrong. This is not allowed in Malaysia.”

In a separate statement, Lazim said a woman police officer was arrested at an entertainment centre in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday under Ops Hiburan.

The 26-year-old, who was on holiday before reporting for duty with the Johor police contingent, was nabbed at 2am after testing positive for drugs.

Lazim said the suspect is on remand for two days. The case is being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
