In a Facebook post today, Anwar said he was impressed by the Dream Forest Langkawi project’s creativity in effectively highlighting the island’s uniqueness.
“This project has successfully highlighted Langkawi’s uniqueness … and also displayed legends and local myths, which are an important part of the nation’s heritage.
“I hope more initiatives like this will be created and enlivened to strengthen the country’s tourism sector, as well as revive interest in the country’s legends and history.
“Langkawi is not only a beautiful island, but is also full of stories and heritage that deserve to be studied by current and future generations,” he said in the post, accompanied by a photo of his visit to Dream Forest Langkawi.
Anwar also said he contacted Dream Forest Langkawi owner Tiara Jacquelina Eu Abdullah and her husband, Effendi Norwawi, to express his appreciation for their effort.
“I propose that an overview of Langkawi’s direction and new technology also be added (in Dream Forest Langkawi’s efforts),” he said.
