PETALING JAYA: A 19-year-old foreign student at a public university was found dead on the 12th floor of an apartment building in Kajang, Selangor, yesterday evening.
Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the deceased was found covered in blood by the public on the 12th floor corridor. Medical officers confirmed her death at the scene.
“The victim is believed to have slipped from the toilet window of her apartment unit on the 33rd floor. It is believed that she was trying to exit the toilet through the window as she could not open the toilet door.
“The case has been classified as sudden death,” he said in a statement.
He said the body was sent to Serdang Hospital for an autopsy, which found that her death was due to multiple injuries after falling from a height.
