PEATLING JAYA:
The auction of the personal belongings of actress Rozita Che Wan has been postponed to a later date, says Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara).

However, Mara did not say why the auction was postponed, Sinar Harian reported.

The auction, involving 34 items worth an estimated RM902,012, was scheduled to be held at her house in Kota Damansara at 10.30am today.

The items that were set to be auctioned off included a car, a sofa set, a refrigerator, and an air conditioning unit. The auction order was issued by the Petaling Jaya sessions court.

On Dec 10, Rozita’s house was reportedly raided by Mara officers, lawyers, and court representatives after she failed to settle a RM960,000 loan from Mara undertaken by her company, RCW Worldwide Sdn Bhd.

Mara chairman Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki had urged the 51-year-old actress, popularly known as Che Ta, and her eldest son, Ammar Effendy, to discuss the debt’s repayment.

Asyraf said the loan was taken in 2017 but Rozita had never made any repayments. Mara’s legal division is filing for a bankruptcy notice against Rozita.
