Police hunting 2 suspects in Muar armed robbery

The police have launched a manhunt for two suspects in an armed robbery reported in Taman Sri Treh in Bakri, Muar, yesterday.

Harian Metro reported that the suspects, who were captured on the home’s closed-circuit television (CCTV), fled with the victim’s Perodua Myvi which was later found in Jasin, Melaka.

In the CCTV recording, the suspects were seen entering the house and stealing valuables.

The suspects hid behind a wall and left the house when they noticed the victim returning home.

It was reported that a family member sustained injuries after being assaulted by the suspects during a scuffle outside the house.

Muar police chief Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the case is being investigated for armed gang robbery under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.

In a statement, he urged those with information on the robbery or the suspects to contact Inspector PS Seventhi at 011-1625 1909 or the Muar police headquarters at 06-952 6001.
