Fahmi claimed that his TikTok account was permanently banned while he was livestreaming a Student Power lecture session at the Universiti Malaya campus.
“First, TikTok blocked my live session, then they banned my account altogether. What’s going on, TikTok Malaysia?” he said in a post on X.
According to a screenshot shared by Fahmi, his TikTok account was permanently banned due to multiple policy violations.
FMT has reached out to TikTok Malaysia for comment.
It is unclear what policy violations Fahmi allegedly committed. However, according to TikTok’s website, the owner of a banned account may still log in to submit an appeal.
