Elderly Chinese national reported missing, last seen at Suria KLCC

PETALING JAYA:
An elderly Chinese national has been reported missing in Kuala Lumpur after being last seen at the second floor of the Suria KLCC shopping mall’s food court.

Dang Wangi police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said a missing person’s report was filed at 11.42am on Monday for 84-year-old Xu Baolin.

The tourist from China is 159cm-tall and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark-coloured pants and dark teal shoes.

Sulizmie said Xu was staying at the Dolphin The Eaton Residences on Jalan Kia Peng, Kuala Lumpur, with his family.

He said the victim does not have Alzheimer’s but has hearing difficulties and does not use a hearing aid.

“He had gone to the food court with four of his family members. He is supposed to return to China on Dec 17. We request the cooperation of members of the public to help locate the missing person,” he said in a statement.
