
Hussein said the case would be forwarded to the coroner’s court for inquest proceedings, and that the authorities were awaiting the official medical report from the hospital.
“In terms of gathering witness statements, everything has been completed. We are now waiting for the autopsy and laboratory reports.
“Once we have the medical report and so on, we will submit the information to the coroner’s court for inquest proceedings,” he told reporters at the Kuala Langat police headquarters today.
Yesterday, Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said statements from 34 people including coaching officers, medical officers, students, and the complainant in the case had been recorded to assist with the investigation into the student’s death.
The 25-year-old trainee reportedly fainted on Nov 10 while participating in a training session on the parade grounds. He was rushed to the hospital and died three days later.
