Driver killed after trailer lorry crashes into 2 vehicles and house

Perak Tengah police chief Hafezul Helmi Hamzah says the driver of the lorry, loaded with cement bags, lost control and crashed into a lorry and car parked by the roadside.

PETALING JAYA:
A trailer lorry driver was killed in a three-vehicle collision at Jalan Ipoh-Lumut, near Bota, Perak, yesterday.

Perak Tengah police chief Hafezul Helmi Hamzah said the 32-year-old driver of the cement-loaded trailer lorry died at the scene of the accident at around 11.15pm, Bernama reported.

He said the lorry, travelling from Seri Iskandar towards Gelung Pepuyu, was believed to have lost control and crashed into the back of a stationary lorry and a car parked by the roadside.

“The lorry also crashed into a house located 100m to the left of the road. The garage of the house was damaged,” he said.
