BATU KAWAN:
Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd today distributed 800 vouchers to four selected tourist destinations in Penang to travellers at the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge toll plaza.

In a statement, it said the programme was held in collaboration with the northern region Tourism Malaysia.

It was also part of their Sinar Insan initiative, held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the opening of the bridge.

“This programme not only emphasises the role of the bridge as a main gateway to Penang but also strengthens our commitment to the development of the tourism sector and the local community’s economy.

“It also promotes various interesting places in Penang that are still reeling from the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Tourism and hospitality operators are very dependent on the influx of visitors but are still struggling to get back to normal even though two years have passed.”
