
KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested four university students who were among eight people caught playing poker in a studio apartment in Subang Jaya early this morning.
Police seized RM1,700 in cash, poker chips and a poker table in the 12.30am raid.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said that those arrested were aged between 20 and 27, and comprised two women and six men. Four were students of a private university while the others worked in sales.
He said a remand application will be made tomorrow. The arrests were made under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
