PETALING JAYA:
Yusoff Mamat, the deputy director of Bukit Aman’s internal security and public order department, will become the new Kelantan police chief next month.

Yusoff, who is currently the acting head of the department, will replace Zaki Harun, who retired in August.

Norhizam Bahaman will take over as the Sepang police chief, replacing Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof who was made Selangor criminal investigation department director last month.

Norhizam is currently a senior officer in the Selangor contingent’s crime prevention and community safety department.

Concurrently, Besut police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad will become the new police chief of the Timur Laut district in Penang. He takes over from Razlam Ab Hamid who was promoted to the Penang contingent’s management department last month.

The new appointments are effective Nov 18, Bukit Aman said in a statement.
