Kelantan police chief Yusoff Mamat confirmed the arrests of four individuals to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, Bernama reported.

“Police have identified the main suspects,” he was quoted as saying. He added that further details on the arrests would be released soon.

Yesterday, Yusoff said police suspect the woman was killed at another location before her body was dumped near a padi field in Kampung Simah.

He added that the victim, who is from Perak, was a third-semester student at a local college and that she was identified through her fingerprints, as no identification documents were found on the body.
