PETALING JAYA:
A man’s body was found in a water retention pond near Km240.8 of the North-South Highway in Seremban yesterday afternoon.

Seremban police chief Hatta Che Din said the man might have fallen off a bridge which was 9m above the pond.

In a Bernama report, Hatta said the deceased, in his 20s, was found lying on his back in a shallow pool of water.

Hatta said the investigating officer deduced from the man’s swollen body that he had died several days ago.

An autopsy found that the man died due to head injuries, with no elements of crime detected.

Hatta said the pond is linked to the Taman Pinggiran Senawang reservoir which flows directly into Sungai Simin, Rantau.

He called on those with information on the case to contact investigating officer Roslan Osman at 06-6792222.
