PETALING JAYA: A 64-year-old motorcyclist died this morning after a car crashed into him while he was changing lanes on a highway in Kuala Lumpur.
KL traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Zamzuri Isa said the incident occurred at 8.54am on the East-West Link Expressway.
“The accident occurred when the motorcyclist changed lanes, which led to a car driven by a 24-year-old woman crashing into him.
“The victim suffered severe injuries and medical officers later confirmed that he had died at the scene,” he said in a statement.
Zamzuri said the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
