LAHAD DATU:
A 10-year-old boy is believed to have been killed by a crocodile while he was swimming in the sea with five friends this morning.

Police said the body of Denis Rodi was recovered at 9.26am, minus the head and right arm, at Pantai Sinakut, Tungku.

District police chief Dzulbaharin Ismail said investigations showed that the boy was swimming with five friends when he was snatched by a crocodile and dragged into the sea. Family members and villagers tried to search for the boy but were unsuccessful, he said.

His stepfather later lodged a police report, and four police officers were dispatched to the scene to search with the villagers. The boy’s body was found about 600m from where he went missing.
