
PETALING JAYA: A woman died when fire spread through a 14th floor apartment of Palm Spring Condo in Damansara this morning.
Another man and woman were rescued by fire-fighters.
Berita Harian reported Selangor fire and rescue department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar as saying the department received a call at 8.39am.
He said 21 personnel from the Damansara, Petaling Jaya and Sungai Buloh stations were sent to the location.
Mukhlis said the fire was caused by a faulty switch box.
He said the victim, aged 31, was found dead in the bathroom. She is believed to have died from smoke inhalation.
The other two rescued were a woman, aged 24, and a man, aged 29. They were sent to hospital for treatment.
