KUALA LUMPUR:
Police are investigating allegations of bullying of the son of a singer and several other students at a boarding school here.

Dang Wangi police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said five reports were lodged and an investigation has been opened for voluntarily causing hurt.

“We have recorded (one of) the victim’s statement and the case is still under investigation,” he said in a statement.

A 51-year-old singer reportedly alleged that his 14-year-old son was bullied and that no action was taken by the school. A few other parents lodged similar reports since the end of last year claiming their children were bullied by six students.
