PETALING JAYA:
The canteen of a Mara junior science college in Melaka has been closed after 48 students suffered food poisoning, six of whom were admitted to the emergency ward.

Mara chairman Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the health ministry is investigating the matter and has issued a notice to shut down the canteen.

Asyraf said in a statement that he had visited the college and found its facilities, including teachers’ office and toilets, in dire need of repair. “I have approved repair works for four basic facilities and given the principal and management a month to resolve these issues,” he said.
