Skeletal remains found near Rawang Bypass

The remains of what is believed to be an infant were discovered by a man looking for old items in the area.

Police said they have opened an investigation paper after the skeletal remains were found near the Rawang Bypass yesterday afternoon.

Skeletal remains, believed to be those of an infant, were discovered near the Rawang Bypass yesterday.

Hulu Selangor police deputy chief Asri Mohd Yunus said the remains were found at about 1pm by a 53-year-old man scavenging for old items in the area.

“An investigation paper has been opened under Section 318 of the Penal Code (for disposing the body of a child),” he said in a statement today.

He urged those with information to contact the Hulu Selangor police headquarters at 03-60641223 or the nearest police station.
