PETALING JAYA:
Deputy prime minister Fadillah Yusof tonight warned the public of a fake Facebook account which purportedly belonged to him.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Fadillah said the fake account, which used his profile picture, was created by irresponsible parties.

“Please ignore the messages from this (fake) account,” he said.

In his official account, Fadillah is seen wearing a Gabungan Parti Sarawak shirt.

The fake account features a picture of him in a dark grey blazer and blue shirt, while the username is “@fadillah.yusof.2024”.

Fadillah said he has since reported the matter to Facebook for further action.

In November, Fadillah confirmed that there were scammers who used his profile picture to create fake WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook accounts.

A month later, a fake Facebook account using his profile picture under the name “Haji Fadillah Yusuf” was detected.
