City Hall denies parking rates have gone up in KL

DBKL says a viral image claiming parking rates in the city centre have been hiked up is false.

The viral image claimed that parking in KL city centre would be RM2 for the first hour and RM3 for every subsequent hour.
PETALING JAYA:
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has denied a viral image claiming that parking rates have been hiked up in the city.

In a Facebook post, DBKL acknowledged that the image had been making the rounds on social media but said it was false.

It added that the image was old and had gone viral in the past, too.

The words in the image claimed that those parking in the KL city centre would be charged RM2 for the first hour and RM3 for every subsequent hour.

It also claimed that parking just outside the city centre would be RM1.50 per hour and RM1 per hour in the outskirts of KL.
