KUALA KUBU BHARU:
The magistrates’ court here has scheduled Oct 7 for the submission of the chemist and post-mortem reports for the Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah murder case, in which policeman Alif Monjani is accused of killing her.

Magistrate Nurul Izzah Hasan Basri set the date after deputy public prosecutor Asma Che Wan told the court the prosecution was still waiting for the reports.

“The chemical and post-mortem reports are still not ready, and I request a new date for mention,” Asma said.

Alif’s lawyer, Nur Aida Md Zainuddin, confirmed the request for a new date.

Alif, 26, a lance corporal stationed at the Slim River police station in Perak, was charged on July 26 with murdering Farah Kartini at the SKC Kledang oil palm plantation in Hulu Bernam.

The incident is alleged to have taken place between 9am on July 10 and 6pm on July 15.

The charge was framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty if found guilty.

Farah Kartini’s mother and several family members attended today’s proceedings.

Farah Kartini was found dead at an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor, on July 15. She was reported missing on July 10 after delivering a rental car to a customer.
