Investment, trade, consumer affairs and human resources committee chairman Lee Ting Han said the state government had reprimanded and issued a warning to his driver.
Lee also said he was not in the car during the incident, Bernama reported.
“According to (my) driver, he wanted to advise the driver of the vehicle for driving dangerously.
“Perhaps his curt manner and ominous tone of voice were a bit inappropriate, and he has been warned by the state government (over his actions).
“He has also been asked to cooperate if a police report has been made,” Lee said.
Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat said no reports had been lodged over the incident, a recording of which has since gone viral.
He also said the incident occurred on Dec 12 last year.
Lee’s driver is said to have reprimanded the road user for apparently failing to signal before entering his lane.
