PETALING JAYA: Umno’s Johol assemblyman Saiful Yazan Sulaiman was warded at the National Heart Institute (IJN) after suffering a heart attack yesterday evening.
Negeri Sembilan Umno chief Jalaluddin Alias said Saiful suffered the heart attack while on the way to the party’s general assembly and fell unconscious.
However, he said he had been informed that Saiful was in stable condition today and was more responsive.
“He has regained consciousness but requires close supervision at IJN’s coronary care unit,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
Jalaluddin also said Saiful did not have a history of any disease.
Saiful, who is also the Kuala Pilah Umno secretary, is serving his second term as assemblyman for Johol, a state seat he first won in 2018.
