
The price of RON97 will stay at RM3.47 per litre and RON95 at RM2.05 per litre. Diesel will continue to retail at RM2.15 per litre in East Malaysia.
These prices will remain in effect until Aug 28.
In a statement, the ministry said it reduced the price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia due to fluctuations in global crude oil prices.
It said the government would continue to monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure the people’s continued welfare and well-being.
The price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia was reduced by five sen from RM3.35 to RM3.30 per litre on Aug 8.
It was reduced by another five sen, from RM3.30 to RM3.25 per litre, on Aug 14.
