Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa said police identified the 22-year-old footballer as a suspect based on investigations, recordings of witness conversations, and closed-circuit camera recordings.
He said the suspect will appear before a judge at the Kuala Lumpur court complex tomorrow, where he will be charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a public place and also for committing mischief.
The charges will be framed under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958 and Section 435 of the Penal Code, respectively, he told a press conference here today after witnessing the handover of duties to new Putrajaya police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed.
