PETALING JAYA:
Two people died yesterday in an accident involving multiple motorcycles along Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Klang, after one rider lost control of his bike while performing stunts.

Klang Selatan police chief Cha Hoong Fong said one of the riders was killed instantly, while the other died on the way to the hospital.

“The crash was caused by a group of motorcyclists who were performing dangerous high-speed stunts, while riding from the Pandamaran Sports Complex, Klang, towards Port Klang and back in laps.

“One of the motorcyclists fell off his bike on the highway and a few other riders crashed into him,” Cha said.

He added that the case is being investigated for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Cha said that particular location is frequently used by the youths for illegal racing, especially during weeknights, despite police conducting frequent operations and making multiple arrests.

He urged anyone with any additional information on the crash to contact the investigating officer, Khairul Nizam, at 010-245 2144.
