PUTRAJAYA:
The home ministry will focus on enhancing the assets and welfare of security forces in Budget 2025, said minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

He said better equipment for agencies such as the police and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency remains a key priority each year, as well as the welfare of ministry personnel.

The 2025 federal budget will be tabled at the Dewan Rakyat on Oct 18.

Saifuddin said that special attention will also be given to the new border control and protection agency, whose operations have been under way since May.

He said several entry points into the country will serve as pilot projects for the agency, including locations in Johor, KLIA, Penang and Kota Kinabalu.
