He said police picked up the suspects, aged 28 and 33, after they were involved in an accident in Marang, Terengganu.
“Police were tracking these suspects and then they were involved in a crash, so we arrested them immediately,” Hussein said in a media conference at the Selangor police headquarters.
He added that, despite being wanted for a string of burglaries, the suspects were not linked to other recent incidents involving football players.

Following their arrest on June 26, Hussein said, the men were originally remanded until June 30. Police managed to obtain an extension to the remand order, which expires tomorrow.
On May 22, Khuzaimi’s home was burgled, with items worth RM15,000 taken including a Yamaha Y15R motorcycle.
Separately, Hussein said Bukit Aman’s classified crime investigation unit was probing the alleged leak of evidence on the murder of six-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin.
This comes after several images purportedly related to the case were circulated on Telegram.
