Gombak police chief Noor Ariffin Nasir said the statements were from the family members of victims, the food supplier, as well as a pathology expert, reported Utusan Malaysia.
“This brings the total number of people whose statements have been recorded to 13,” he said in a statement today.
Yesterday, Ariffin said the police had taken eight statements from the food supplier and the family members of victims.
He said police were also tracking down other possible victims who had consumed the food offered during a programme organised at a religious school in the district.
He said the police would also call the organisers of the programme, the school principal, and other individuals involved in the preparation of the food.
Previously, police confirmed receiving two reports of deaths due to suspected food poisoning. One was a 17-year-old boy and the other, a two-year-old girl.
Selangor health department director Dr Ummi Kalthom Shamsudin said 82 people who attended the programme had complained of food poisoning so far.
