Malaysia’s mixed doubles pair of Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing failed to make it to the final of the Indonesia Open when they lost in straight games to their Chinese opponents today.

Kian Meng-Pei Jing lost 16-21, 18-21 to world No 5 pair Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin in their semi-final clash at the Istora Senayan stadium in Jakarta this afternoon.

It will be an all-China final when Zhen Bang-Ya Xin meet Zheng Si Wei-Huang Ya Qiong, who beat Thaikland’s S Taerattanachai and D Puavaranukroh 21-19, 21-19 in the other semi-final.

Malaysia’s only interest left in the championship is the men’s doubles pair of Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, who will take on Indonesia’s Sabar Karyaman Gutama-Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in the semi-finals later this evening.
