PETALING JAYA:
A Grab driver who lodged a police report alleging that he was attacked by an escort accompanying a VIP entourage yesterday has filed a second report stating that the matter has been settled, says Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa.

In a statement, Rusdi said police confirmed receiving an initial report from the e-hailing driver at around 1pm yesterday.

“The complainant made a second police report at around 9.59pm yesterday stating that the matter had been resolved amicably,” said Rusdi.

He said the driver attributed the incident to a “misunderstanding”, and did not wish to pursue the matter.

Rusdi said the initial report was being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing voluntary hurt.

He also advised the public not to speculate about the case.
