PETALING JAYA:
The police busted a major drug operation and seized 213kg of methamphetamines in a raid at a condominium in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday, says Bukit Aman narcotics crime investigation department (NCID) director Khaw Kok Chin.

He said the total value of the drugs was estimated to be RM33.7 million, and that two men, aged 32 and 33, were arrested in the 3.50pm raid, Bernama reported.

Khaw added that the duo, who have been remanded until June 2, had numerous convictions on record, including for drug offences.

In a media conference at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters this morning, Khaw said the gang rented the condominium unit to package the methylenedioxy-methamphetamines, or MDMA, before distributing them to entertainment outlets across the Klang Valley.

“The gang has been operating since early this year. We believe each packet of drugs was sold for between RM300 and RM600,” he said.
