PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested another man over the firebombing of an entertainment outlet at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday morning.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa said the 28-year-old man was nabbed yesterday and will be remanded until Thursday.

The remand order for the four suspects who were arrested previously will expire tomorrow. Rusdi said police will seek to extend their remand to complete their investigation.

All four suspects are men in their 20s.

“The motive behind this incident is still being investigated,” he said in a brief statement.

CCTV footage showed four men on two motorcycles stopping in front of the nightclub and throwing two petrol bombs before fleeing. The 45-second clip has since gone viral.

The incident occurred at 2.18am on May 9, based on the date and timestamp on the recording.

The case is being investigated for mischief by fire and criminal intimidation.
