Case resolved, say cops after Taylor’s student fights with guard

Taylor’s University says the security guard involved in the scuffle is not affiliated with the university.

A 31-second video that went viral on social media showed a student in a scuffle with a security guard at an open car park.
PETALING JAYA:
A fight between a Taylor’s University student and a security guard has been resolved, police said today after a video clip of the fight at an open car park went viral on social media.

Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said a report was lodged by the security guard’s company but “both parties have resolved the matter internally and did not want the case to prolong any further”.

In a Facebook post earlier, Taylor’s University said the security guard was from a nearby building and was not affiliated with the university. The university, a private institution based in Subang Jaya, said it would “provide support” to the student.

The 31-second video captured a male student in a scuffle with a security guard at the open car park near the university, before other students stepped in to break up the fight.
