PETALING JAYA:
Deputy prime minister Fadillah Yusof has urged all parties taking part in the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election to look after community sensitivities while canvassing for votes.

Fadillah, a senior vice-president of Sarawak’s Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu, said everyone hitting the campaign trail should abide by the instructions of the authorities.

He also urged Kuala Kubu Baharu voters to cast their ballot for a candidate who will contribute to stability and development.

“Only with stability can we focus on the development of Malaysia, in terms of the economy, social conditions and so on,” he said, Bernama reported.

The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election on May 11 is a four-cornered fight between Pakatan Harapan, Perikatan Nasional, Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) and an independent candidate.

PH is represented by DAP’s Pang Sock Tao while PN has fielded Khairul Azhari Saut, acting chief of Hulu Selangor Bersatu. They will be facing PRM’s Hafizah Zainudin and independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin.
