
Fazrul Razzi Yunus, 31, was also charged with carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent, using an object during a sexual assault, and sexually assaulting a minor.
All the offences were allegedly committed in a police patrol car near Jalan Persiaran Saujana Ampang at 10.30pm on Jan 9.
The lance corporal pleaded not guilty to all charges, with the court then setting RM20,000 bail for all four charges.
The rape charge was framed under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code, which provides for a maximum 20-year jail term and whipping upon conviction.
The charge of committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent framed under Section 377C of the Penal Code provides for a maximum 20-year jail term and whipping upon conviction.
He was also charged under Section 377CA of the Penal Code with using an object during a sexual assault, which carries a maximum jail term of up to 30 years and whipping upon conviction.
Fazrul was also charged with the sexual assault of a minor under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which provides for a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
His lawyer, Visvanathan Nair, pleaded to judge Norshila Kamaruddin to allow a low bail as Fazrul had to provide for his two children aged four and one. He said Fazrul also suffered from an autoimmune disorder known as myasthenia gravis.
After setting bail, the judge also imposed additional conditions for Fazrul to report to any police station in Damansara once a month.
Fazrul is also not allowed to be anywhere near the alleged victim.
The court set March 12 for mention.
Both Fazrul and his colleague, Adib Aikal Shahrul Nizam, 24, were later charged for extortion in a separate court.
They were accused of extorting RM500 from the victim’s boyfriend to prevent having a video clip of them kissing being circulated.
The incident allegedly took place at Ampang Hillview at 10.09pm on Jan 9.
The charge was framed under Section 384 of the Penal Code, which upon conviction, provides for a jail term of up to 10 years, or a fine, or whipping, or whichever two of the punishments.
Magistrate Amalina Basirah Top set bail for the pair at RM4,000 each.
Lawyer Kee Wei Lon represented Adib while deputy public prosecutors Nor Azizah Mohamad and Zahida Zakaria prosecuted both the cases.
