3 teens held for robbing foreigner at knifepoint in Cheras

PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested three teens in connection with an armed robbery in which a foreign male was allegedly accosted at knifepoint in Taman Connaught, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Cheras deputy police chief Ridzuan Khalid said the trio, aged 14 to 15, were arrested in the district.

Ridzuan said the case is being investigated under Sections 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.

“None of the suspects have previous convictions. We have been granted permission to remand them for five days starting from today,” he said in a statement.

He also urged those with information about the incident to contact the police.
