PETALING JAYA:
The police are looking for three men who rammed into a policeman while fleeing a police inspection in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, yesterday.

Rembau police chief Hazri Mohamad said the policemen were on a patrol in front of the Penajis mosque at noon when they attempted to stop a Proton Wira for an inspection.

He said the car refused to stop and sped towards Kampung Relong Penajis, before reaching the end of the road.

“After realising it was a dead-end, the driver made a U-turn and the car rammed into one of the policemen,” Bernama quoted him as saying.

The car then skidded and came to a halt, before three men got out and fled, leaving a 31-year-old woman, believed to be one of the men’s girlfriend.

Hazri said two of the men are aged 26 and 31, but the age of the third person is unknown.

Hazri said the policeman suffered injuries to both elbows.
