
The gathering, which was held to protest the US’s refusal to call for an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, was attended by NGOs and political figures over six days from Dec 26.
The police previously said they had opened an investigation paper under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 for the organisation of an event without a permit.
Muda said in a statement that its secretary-general Amir Hadi and his PSM counterpart A Sivarajan would be among those called in for questioning at the Dang Wangi police station tomorrow.
Amanah Youth chief Hasbie Muda, MCA Youth deputy chief Mike Chong, and Batu PKR Youth chief Muhammad Sabda Suluh Lestari Yahya have also been called in.
Others who will be questioned tomorrow include activists Hishamuddin Rais, Ambiga Sreenevasan, Sevan Doraisamy and Tian Chua.
Tian Chua, a senior member of the organising group, Sekretariat Solidariti Palestin, previously called the event a success but said the group would not be satisfied until Palestine’s safety is assured and it “regains its sovereignty”.
War between Israel and Hamas erupted in Gaza after Hamas attacked Israel on Oct 7. AFP reported that the attack left around 1,140 people, mostly civilians, dead in Israel.
The agency also reported that more than 22,300 people have been killed, most of them women and children, in Israel’s retaliatory offensive in Gaza.
