PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested five more suspects in connection with the recent discovery of a man’s body buried behind a residence in Sungai Choh, Rawang.

Acting Gombak police chief Noor Ariffin Nasir said the suspects, aged 19 to 45, will be remanded for seven days.

“All those involved in the incident have been successfully apprehended within 24 hours,” he told FMT.

The arrests were made yesterday at three different locations. A man and two women were first arrested at the Desa Aman Puri apartment.

This was later followed by the arrest of two men in Puncak Alam and Sungai Choh in the evening.

Asked if the victim’s girlfriend was involved in the case, Ariffin answered in the negative.

He also said speculations that the murder was linked to a lewd video of the woman were also untrue.

Ariffin said a post-mortem on the victim was completed yesterday.

“There are signs of injury, wounds and bruising on the head and the entire body,” he said, adding that they were waiting for the laboratory test results before confirming the cause of death.

On Saturday, FMT reported that police had discovered a body buried in a thicket in Sungai Choh, Rawang.

It was believed that an argument broke out between two men at the residence, leading to the death of one of them.

On that day, police arrested two local men, aged 29 and 33, and a local 32-year-old woman, who were suspected of being involved in the incident.
