PETALING JAYA:
A viral video showing approximately 28 patrol unit vehicles or MPVs in high-speed pursuit of a Perodua Bezza in Cyberjaya has been confirmed as footage of an actual police chase.

Petaling Jaya police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the chase started from Petaling Jaya and continued to Cyberjaya before two suspects were arrested.

“We will issue a media statement regarding this case,” he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.

Before the chase, the police patrol cars had been tailing the Bezza from Petaling Jaya.

It is understood that the car with three men and a woman were seen driving in a suspicious manner, prompting the patrolling police to stop them.

As the police attempted to make the arrest, the suspects accelerated the vehicle, leading to the pursuit.

In the process of apprehending the suspects, two men managed to jump out of the vehicle and escape, while the other man and the woman were successfully detained.
