Prolintas COO for project and operations Rostam Shahrif said the company is the largest highway provider in the Klang Valley. As such, it was its responsibility to promote good road ethics among highway users, he said.
“These values need to be instilled in teenagers through continuous involvement with the JPJ to have future road users who are ethical, responsible and law-abiding,” he said.
Rostam added that this was not the first time Prolintas had teamed up with Selangor JPJ. They had first worked together on a safety campaign in 2018.
“Prolintas is pleased to continue the programme this year. This is evidence of the effectiveness of the previous programme,” he said.

At least 200 schoolchildren who are JPJ Cadet Club members from SMK Seksyen 18 Shah Alam, SMK Seksyen 24 (2), SMK Seksyen 19 Shah Alam, SMK Subang Taman Subang Baru, SMK Bukit Gading Sungai Plong, SMK Bandar Baru Sungai Long and SMK Taman Medan took part in the carnival.
The students were supervised by Selangor JPJ, teachers, government and private agency representatives, and NGO members.
The carnival included the “Selangor cares about road safety educational race” (Scorer) game, motorcycle and bicycle safety for students, lectures and briefings on road safety, and the hosting of a road safety exhibition.
