PETALING JAYA: Kulim Bandar Baharu MP Roslan Hashim has filed a police report that his WhatsApp identity has been used for a loan scam.

According to Harian Metro, Roslan received numerous calls and messages from his contacts the past week asking if it was true that he wanted to borrow money from them.
“At first, I wasn’t sure why, but soon after, I realised that my WhatsApp account had been hacked,” he was quoted as saying.
Roslan, who is with Perikatan Nasional, said he has since filed a report to the police and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
He has also changed his phone number while awaiting the investigation. He said the identity theft has disrupted his work.
