
Hadi (PN-Marang) claimed there were groups who were challenging Islamic laws in the country and that such threats should not be left unchecked.
“I am warning the government as this matter is related to Muslims, Allah and the Malay rulers.
“And if Pakatan Harapan does not want to act, we will,” he told the Dewan Rakyat when debating the 2024 supply bill.
While he did not specify what action Perikatan Nasional (PN) would take, Hadi simply said “wait and see”.
He went on to say that PN would oppose any attempt to challenge shariah laws, including going to the courts.
However, he said any “action” taken by PN would not deny the rights of non-Muslims.
