Bring back GST at 4%, says MCA Youth

The youth wing also calls for schoolchildren to be made more knowledgeable about the democratic process and the voting age of 18.

PETALING JAYA:
Members of MCA Youth have adopted a resolution calling for goods and services tax (GST) to be reinstated at the rate of 4%.

Another resolution urged the government to improve the secondary school syllabus by introducing election topics to allow schoolchildren to be made more knowledgeable about Undi18 (the new voting age of 18) and the democratic process in general, Bernama reported.

The two resolutions were among nine adopted by the youth wing at its general meeting in Kuala Lumpur today. The resolutions were on party and youth wing affairs, the economy, government affairs and education.

After 11 delegates from nine states engaged in the debate session, the resolutions were adopted by the 390 delegates present.
